FIRST RECONCILIATION & FIRST COMMUNION – SY2025-2026

First Communion celebrations for the 2025-2026 were held May 30th and June 6th, 2026, at St. Paul the Apostle Parish. We thank our parish and school communities for keeping our First Communicants and their families in your prayers during this special time.

What are the Sacraments of First Reconciliation &
First Holy Communion?

The sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Communion are traditionally celebrated in Grade 2. The Catholic Church believes that by the age of 7 most children are capable of understanding the importance of reconciliation with God and are ready to receive the Eucharist.  The parish, in partnership with the parents (the primary catechists of the child) and the school, prepares the children to receive God’s loving forgiveness in the sacrament of Reconciliation and Jesus Himself in the Eucharist/Holy Communion.
